Top Five Quarterbacks (Week Three)
September 17th, 2008 | by aaron |Brett Favre- I think Mangini and company realizes that they made a few mistakes last week by running inside the five yard line on three consecutive plays against the Pats. WIth that said, guaranteed it’s all Brett Favre this coming Monday Night Football. Did I mention that San Diego ranks second to last in passing allowing 587 yards and five touchdowns in only two games?
Projected Points- 30
Tony Romo- Romo doesn’t have to prove much this year against the Packers, but he will. No matter how you look at it Romo loves being in the spotlight and this is somewhat of a spotlight game with Dallas headed into Green Bay this year. Expect fireworks!
Projected Points-29
Philip Rivers- Despite San Diego having lost their first two games Philip Rivers is on point this season. Rivers currently ranks second amongst QB’s and with the Jets visiting and the Chargers desperately needing a win, look for another big game out of Rivers. Projected Points- 28
Jay Cutler- Cutler currently leads all QB’s in fantasy points and if you think that he’ll taper off don’t even mention it this week. The Saints travel to “Mile High” and even though they haven’t played that bad, Jason Campbell’s did torch them for 321 yards and one touchdown last week.
Projected Points-27
Eli Manning- As we all know and have known for decades the Bengals couldn’t stop a flea from running up the score. I hate to say that the Giants are a passing team but with Brandon Jacobs not being able to find his way into the endzone and Plaxico Burress and co. making defenders look stupid, it’s beginning to look that way.
Projected Points-24
