Tuesday Wire Tap
October 23rd, 2007 | by aaron |We aren’t even to the midway point of the NFL season and we have already experienced some pretty significant injuries. Nothing like the loss we incurred this following Sunday when Ronnie Brown went down in the New England game, however no injury has been as big as that one. It’s unfortunate because Brown was the only bright spot playing on a losing team in Miami and this seasons top fantasy point producer for all running backs. However, changes and being able to adapt to change is an extremely significant aspect of fantasy football and the NFL, therefore, playing the waiver wire is extremely important when trying to fit all the pieces together.
This week there are some serious thoughts to consider when looking at and/or acquiring some help from the waiver wire, but there are some quality choices for now and for the upcoming weeks.
Quarterbacks:
Sage Rosenfels (Houston): Matt Schaub is day to day with a hip injury and Rosenfels was extremely effective against the Titans passing for 290 yards and 3 touchdowns. This week the Texans may get a break by playing San Diego at home and if you decide not to play Rosenfels this week you can play him in week 9 against the Raiders.
