“The Gospel” Week 6 Quarterbacks
October 12th, 2007 | by aaron |With only 13 games this weekend you have to expect that overall fantasy production will decline and as a result make each cash competition for Week 6 extremely difficult. There are some favorable match-ups if you do your homework, however, there are at least 19 every week starters sidelined due to bye week and another half-dozen sitting due to injury. This is where your true skill, drafting ability, and your knowledge of the NFL will need to reach a new level.
What’s obvious here really doesn’t need to be explained because Romo, Palmer, and Favre are a must draft and Tom Brady should be the first QB selected. But, what about the others? Players that you wouldn’t normally draft, include names such as Eli Manning with a favorable match-up in Atlanta and even Kurt Warner at home against the Panthers.
Let’s take a look at the top 8 QB’s this week and others that you should definitely avoid.
Cash Quarterbacks:
1. Tom Brady: If you want the most for you money Brady is by far the best player with the most favorable match-up this week. A shootout in Dallas is on the horizon and expect Brady to continue his average of 3 kills and at least 275 yards through the air.
Prediction: 28 points
2. Carson Palmer: Tough game on the road in K.C butPalmer will continue to get his especially with a struggling run game.
Prediction: 24 points
3. Donovan McNabb: Coming off of a bye week and the fact that McNabb hasn’t played that well, expect a whole different look this week. With plenty of time to watch film and recoup from minor aches and pains McNabb should have figured it out by now and lead the Eagles over the Jets.
Prediction: 23 points
4. Kurt Warner: I have drafted Warner in two out of 3 of my cash competitions. Warner is on a mission and likely to show why he should have been named the starter weeks ago.
Prediction: 22 points
5. Matt Hasselbeck: The Saints have to travel then move from turf to grass this week. That’s not a good combination and even though Deion Branch is banged up, Hasselbeck will pick these Saints apart.
Prediction: 22 points
6. Tony Romo: If the Cowboys lose last Monday Night who knows how Romo’s head would recover from a six turnover night. But, they didn’t and a win is a win and Romo has already forgotten about his poor performance. A must draft, but guaranteed you can get him in the later rounds.
Prediction : 22 points
7. Eli Manning: Manning should find success with his match-up in Atlanta. The only problem is his passing yards will be down due to Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward. Plays well and hooks up with Burress at least one time!
Prediction: 20 points
8. Derek Anderson: Anderson is playing well and should be a QB drafted. At home against Miami the Browns win and Anderson finds success.
Prediction: 18-20 points
Quarterbacks In Bankruptcy:
Vince Young: At Tampa, not good!
Jason Campbell: In Lambeau, long day!
Philip Rivers: Don’t be fooled by one good game!
Drew Brees: Not getting any better!
