Minnesota Vikings
July 1st, 2007 | by aaron |Thank God that other teams have 3 or more players to choose from for your fantasy team. With the exception of Adrian Peterson I won’t even waste my time trying to find a few positives within this franchise. Well I guess there is at least one more postive. Ever since I was a little kid, I have always loved this Minnesota purple.
Adrian Peterson: Eric Dickerson renincarnated. There is no way Peterson will share the load with Chester Taylor before midway through the season. Injury is a concern but injury is a concern with every runner in the league. It’s impossible to determine which round to draft Peterson in, but in keeper leagues Peterson will make some owners happy when they steal him in the mid-late rounds.
Chester Taylor: Not saying he’s a horrible back, but his career will last much longer considering his carries will diminish. Great backup, but not the ideal starter in the NFL.
DEFENSE: This defense plays the 6th worst passing schedule but the 11th hardest vs. the run. If they don’t stop the run, this unit is a bye week prayer and a bottom round selection.
Tarvaris Jackson: Could surprise a few in the NFL, but Jackson’s fantasy value is of little or no importance.
Receivers: Definitely not Carter, Reed, or Moss and hasn’t been that for a long time now in ‘Minny’. Including the TE position the entire depth chart at this position combined for a grand total of 5 Td’s in 2006. The bright side is, it almost can’t get any worse.
Jimmy Kleinsasser: Who?
