Green Bay Packers
June 30th, 2007 | by aaron |One thing is for sure, Brett Favre will finish his career by breaking all passing records and finish up with an above average season. Will the Packers compete for a playoff spot in the NFC this season? Absolutely! Both sides of the ball will play at their full potential knowing this is Brett’s last year.
Brett Favre: If you’re stacked at the other positions Favre will be a sufficient QB where you can select him in the mid-late rounds. You will not see the Favre of old, but I envision a strong ending to his Hall-Of-Fame career.
Donald Driver: Over the past three seasons Driver has continuously improved his production. Look for increased numbers this season as he’s the player who will assure Favre’s breaking of Marino’s Td pass record. After finishing with 92 receptions and 8 Td’s in ‘06′ look for Driver to finish the ‘07′ season with even better numbers.
DEFENSE: According to Aikman’s efficiency ratings this defense ranked 10th overall. According to the NFL the ‘Pack’ rank 12th in total team defense. None of that really matters when you look at the fact that they were 5th overall in takeaways and 4th in overall sacks. Consider the fact that they play in a division where the quarterback position is below average and this Packer ‘D’ has the potential to dominate their division. Top ten this seaason.
Morency/Jackson: Somebody will carry this load or maybe they will RB by committee. It’s too early for me to give an honest evaluation and when I make my adjustments as the season nears, I will address this situation.
Greg Jennings: What an honor! In only his second season this guy gets to be a part of history. Jennings is a quality receiver and whenever you have the opportunity of playing with Favre there is always huge potential. Later round selection.
Crosby Rayner: From what I understand Crosby has a cannon for a leg and has the chance to compete for the position. Time will tell.
