Dallas Cowboys

I truly believe this franchise will compete at a higher level without Bill Parcells at the healm. Romo will play relaxed and confident. Owens will continue to play hard with better concentration and this already good Dallas defense will show tremendous improvement. In terms of fantasy production, look out.

Terrell Owens: No matter what people think of Terrell Owens he remains the best athlete on the field no matter who the Cowboys are playing. He led WR’s in Td’s last season (and he dropped at least two) and expect much of the same in 2007. Contrary to popular belief, Owens remains the best receiver in this league. DON’T WAIT TOO LONG!

Tony Romo: If Romo was at all affected by his playoff blunder last season, don’t worry about it, the NFL has the best shrinks in the world. Due to the players around him, Romo was no fluke last season, and look for another productive 2007 season. Not in the same class as a Manning, Palmer or Brady, but easily an every week starter on any fantasy franchise.

Julius Jones: You can start Julius on a weekly basis but only as a 2nd RB option. Jones’ inability to hold onto the ball his first two seasons left Parcells looking for a more reliable back. In comes Marion Barber and Jones watched his carries decrease as a result. If Jones has remedied the fumble problem, expect at least 1250 yards and close to ten scores.

Marion Barber: Less carries more Td’s than Jones. Barber is worthy of a late round selection due to the vulnerability at the RB position.

Terry Glenn: One-thousand yards and six touchdowns is good enough to classify you a #2 receiver on any NFL franchise and it would be good enough to classify you a 2nd receiver option on most fantasy franchises. However, I do not expect the same productivity from Glenn in 2007. Worthy of a selection, but do not bank on him being your first option at #2.

DEFENSE: A top unit in takeaways, but lower half of the NFL in sacks. Look for much improvement from this unit this season as they dominate the NFC East and the subpar quarterback they face all season. This defense can be a first option in 2007.

M. Grammatica: With Dallas being a top team in the NFC this season and the fact that they face above average defenses all year, look for plenty of red-zone stops and FG oppotunities for Grammatica.

Jason Whitten: Whitten remains in a group of average NFL TE’s. In ‘06′ he did manage to grab 64 receptions but only one score. I expect his endzone appearances to increase in’07, but not enough to classify him a top TE. No big deal!
