Three Bengals Top AFC North
June 19th, 2007 | by aaron |Now that I have concluded my fantasy analysis of the AFC, I will rate the top players from each division then move into top players from the entire conference. From there I will then move forward by rating NFC teams and players.
The AFC North is probably the toughest division in terms of ranking the top skill position fantasy prospects. The reason being is this division does not feature a dominant standout, however, it does occupy a group of highly productive players where any one of my top 5 projected fantasy studs could lead the division in scoring.
Here is a list of top fantasy producers from the AFC North division. My rankings are based on each skill position player who is worthy of a fantasy draft selection along with the value of team defenses, kickers and where they rate in terms of fantasy production for the 2007 season.
AFC NORTH SKILL POSITION PLAYERS
1. (RB) Willis McGahee- Many people may disagree with this selection, therefore, there is no need to go into great detail.
A great runner on a Super Bowl contender. Barring any type of injuries, McGahee will show career numbers this season proving why he is my top AFC North points producer.
2. (RB) Willie Parker- The Steelers ground attack is forever consistent and if Willie played with Baltimore, he would be number one.
3. (QB) Carson Palmer- We all realize Palmer’s ability and with the weapons he has,the sky is the limit. When you consider that there is only one ball to distribute on this potent offense and Palmer is the only one who touches it every play, I had to rank him 3rd overall.
4. (RB) Rudi Johnson- Durable, reliable, and a great runner on an elite offense. It was a difficult decision moving Johnson down to 4th.
5. (WR) Chad Johnson- Need I say more?
6. (WR) Hines Ward
7. (RB) Jamal Lewis
8. (WR) T.J. Houshmandzadeh
9. (QB) Ben Roethlisberger
10(WR) Mark Clayton
11(TE) Todd Heap
12(WR) Braylon Edwards/ (TE) Kellen Winslow
DEFENSE (Based on fantasy statistical value)
1. Baltimore
2. Pittsburgh
3. Cleveland
4. Cincinnati
Kickers
1. Matt Stover
2. Shayne Graham
3. Jeff Reed
4. Phil Dawson

Thanks for the words of praise. And I’m glad you liked your stay in San Diego. Yeah I think it’ll be easy to blog about plus I’ll enjoy it. Seems like you enjoy what you blog about. I think you have to. Anyway, I’m putting your link up on my blog. I love reading up on this stuff. Especially for the Chargers. BoltHype is another link I have up also. Happy Blogging!
