Tenessee Titans
June 14th, 2007 | by aaron |Jeff Fisher always seems to find a way to consistently get the most out of mediocre talent, thus, nobody ever expected the Titans to finiish the season with an 8-8 record.
Don’t expect much of the same this season as the Titans face the 5th toughest NFL schedule and opposing defenses have had a chance to really see what Vince Young can accomplish on the field.
Lendale White: Who knows what’s going to happen with this terrific talent? As far as I know Jeff Fisher was clearly unhappy seeing White show up for minicamp out of shape. Fisher was quoted as saying “it appears as though Lendale is not taking full advantage of his opportunity to play in the NFL.”
The Titans didn’t draft Chris Henry for no reason, however, Lendale could be a great back in the NFL if he takes advantage of his opportunity and keeps his head on straight. If this is the case, look for an impressive 2nd season but not more than a 2nd runningback option.
Vince Young: In most eyes Vince would appear to be the leading candidate as the top fantasy point producer on this franchise. Even though I admired his ability to exploit defenses last season, I look a mediocre mistake filled season from this 2nd year quarterback. Don’t get me wrong I really like Young as a dangerous NFL quarterback, however, he is not much of a fantasy threat for now unless he receives major help at the receiver position.
Chris Henry: Henry’s status depends on White’s ability or inability to become a productive runningback. If White remains out of shape or unhealthy, I see Henry as a capable NFL runner and everydown back that could put up decent numbers. At best Henry is a late draft selection and that is only because uncertainty of injuries at the runningback position.
Wide Receivers: Here’s a list of things you will need if you make a decision to draft a receiver from this team. (1) Paper (2) Tape (3) Pen (4) Blindfold (5) dart
Instructions: Use the pen to write four names on the piece of paper. After securing the blindfold place dart in hand and toss the dart towards the piece of paper that you taped to the wall. If you happen to hit one of the four receivers, select that receiver. If you happen to miss the entire sheet of paper, don’t worry about, just draft their kicker Rob Bironas.
DEFENSE: See above!
Rob Bironas: See above, above!
