Lebron Has Graduated

June 1st, 2007 | by aaron |

I just realized why I would be the worst sportswriter in the history of journalism.  (1) I’m speechless (2) I cannot find the words to describe what I just witnessed (3) Being negative one minute then jumping on the bandwagon the next minute is not part of my genetic makeup (4) I could never sell-out a player or coach based on public opinion.

I don’t need others to do my thinking for me.  I don’t watch games, I feel games, and I think on my own while avoiding all negative and sometimes influential media.  Pay close attention to the date on this post here.

For the haters out there, at the young age of 22, Lebron has graduated against the best defense in the NBA.  The difference tonight in Detroit was Lebron’s willingness to look bad by taking every difficult shot, playing hard defense, and blowing by defenders, while he carried these Cavaliers on his broad shoulders. It really didn’t matter how it ended as long as Lebron continued to play aggressive and show a willingness to take the big shots.

Going into tonights fantasy matchup if I didn’t win this game, Keir and I would finish our series 3-2 and I take would take home a whopping $70.

After sub-par performances by Deron Williams and Manu Ginobili, heading into tonights Cavs/Pistons matchup I was behind by a total of 73 points.  I still had Lebron, Z, Billups, and Wallace playing and Keir had Hamilton and Prince.

To make a long story short and to avoid what I cannot explain anyway, Lebron covered 64 of those 73 points and my supporting cast, unlike the Cavs, helped me bring home the money.

ME  Final Score KEIR

181                      142

Leading Scorer

Lebron James 64

The series is over for this year, I win 4-1 and a total of $110.  Now it’s time for the NFL.

PEACE!
